Restoration of the Faculty of Law Rooftop UV

The restoration of the Law Faculty rooftop was undertaken to resolve the persistent water leakages affecting the building, caused by the deteriorated state of the existing waterproofing system.
The initial intervention involved the removal of the gravel ballast, thermal insulation, separating layers, and the old waterproofing membrane. Simultaneously, the perimeter reinforced concrete slab and the existing photovoltaic panels were dismantled.
Following these actions, new slopes were formed to ensure proper drainage and the substrate was levelled and prepared in order to apply the hot-spray polyurea waterproofing system.
To conclude the project, a UV-resistant coating was applied, and the separating layers and thermal insulation were reinstalled, together with a gravel ballast layer providing heavy-duty protection.
