DESCRIPTION

The works carried out at the University of Valencia Dental Clinic involved the rehabilitation of the building’s roof and metal dome, as well as the refurbishment of several interior rooms and service areas.

The project began with the demolition and renovation of the interior spaces, including the refurbishment of rooms and bathrooms, adapting the facilities to the building’s new functional requirements.

Externally, an anti-corrosion treatment was applied to the steel dome structure, followed by the sealing of joints and critical details to ensure long-term protection against weather exposure.

The roof upstands and roof surface were then waterproofed using a hand-applied liquid membrane system, providing a seamless, watertight solution ideally suited to the complex geometry of the roof.

This intervention improved the building’s protection against water ingress, enhanced the durability of the steel structure, and modernized the interior spaces, ensuring the long-term performance of the facility.
