FAQ

General Questions

Polytech Systems specializes in high-performance waterproofing and concrete protection using liquid-applied systems, including pure, hybrid, and aliphatic hot spray-applied polyureas.

These solutions provide seamless waterproofing, durability, and excellent mechanical and chemical resistance.

No. Polytech Systems operates both nationally and internationally, delivering waterproofing, structural rehabilitation, and concrete protection solutions across a wide range of sectors and project types.

Yes. Polytech Systems specializes in roof rehabilitation, including both waterproofing solutions and the design and construction of green roofs using advanced 3D_tech-Roof systems.

Yes. Polytech Systems has the technical capacity and expertise to deliver large-scale projects in both the public and private sectors.

The company is registered in ROLECE, allowing it to participate in public procurement contracts in Spain.

Polyurea

Hot spray-applied polyurea is a high-performance waterproofing and protective coating. It is applied by trained and certified specialists using high-pressure equipment, creating a seamless, fully bonded, and highly elastic membrane that provides outstanding waterproofing and long-term protection.

Polyurea offers extremely fast curing times, complete waterproofing performance, high elasticity, and excellent crack-bridging capabilities. It also provides outstanding mechanical and chemical resistance, making it a highly durable solution for demanding environments.

Polyurea can be applied to a wide variety of properly prepared substrates, including concrete, metal, wood, EPS, GRP, polyurethane, and ceramic surfaces.

Its versatility makes it suitable for applications in construction, infrastructure, industrial facilities, sports and leisure projects, as well as demanding sectors such as mining and defense.

Yes. Polyurea is particularly well suited for large-scale projects thanks to its high application rates and rapid installation process.

One of its main advantages is the extremely fast return to service of waterproofed areas, allowing other trades to continue their work with minimal disruption. This helps optimize project schedules, improve efficiency on site, and reduce overall construction time.

Decks waterproofing

Polytech Systems provides waterproofing solutions for a wide range of roof types, including flat roofs, inverted roofs, parking decks, false tunnels, metal roofs, and green roofs. We also work on sports facilities, stadiums, and high-reflectance (SRI) roofing systems incorporating advanced nanotechnology coatings.

Detecting roof leaks can be straightforward when the source is visible, but water often enters at one point and appears several meters away. The most effective approach combines visual inspection with technical testing and leak detection equipment.

Yes. In many cases, polyurea can be applied directly over the existing roofing system, making it a highly effective solution for roof rehabilitation. This approach helps reduce costs, installation time, and waste generation. Polytech Systems recommends carrying out a prior technical assessment in every case.

Structural Reinforcements

Polytech Systems specializes in structural strengthening solutions for the repair and enhancement of structural load-bearing capacity, with particular expertise in Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) systems.

Structural reinforcement is required when an existing structure no longer has sufficient load-bearing capacity, has deteriorated over time, or needs to meet new load requirements, regulations, or usage conditions. A technical assessment can identify the most appropriate strengthening solution.

Yes. Structures affected by moisture are one of the main areas where Polytech Systems provides rehabilitation services. In many cases, these interventions include concrete protection systems using structural polyurea coatings, an area in which Polytech Systems has extensive expertise.

Yes. Polytech Systems carries out structural reinforcement works in existing buildings, including preliminary assessments, structural calculations, and the design of the most suitable solution. Our technical team has extensive experience in complex and large-scale reinforcement projects.

Deposits & Tanks

Yes. Polytech Systems specializes in the waterproofing of water tanks and reservoirs, with trained in-house personnel and the necessary equipment to work safely in confined spaces. We provide a wide range of waterproofing solutions, including both membrane systems and fully bonded waterproofing systems, depending on the requirements of each project.

At Polytech Systems, we use a range of waterproofing solutions including injection systems, specialized membranes, reinforced flexible cementitious products, and spray-applied polyurea membranes. These systems can be certified for contact with potable water intended for human consumption.

The repair method depends on the cause of the leak and the type of water tank. A preliminary technical assessment is usually required to determine the most appropriate solution. Water tanks may be elevated, underground, or partially buried, and each configuration requires a specific waterproofing approach to ensure long-term performance and durability.

Yes. Polytech Systems carries out the complete rehabilitation of aging water tanks used for potable water, irrigation, water supply, and industrial applications. These projects typically include inspection and diagnosis, structural repair and reinforcement, as well as waterproofing and concrete protection to restore long-term durability and performance.

Pools & Artificial Lakes

Yes. Polytech Systems has extensive national and international experience in the rehabilitation, waterproofing, and maintenance of large swimming pools, as well as the repair of water attractions and aquatic play facilities.

There are several effective repair techniques available. The most suitable solution depends on the specific cause of the leak and is usually determined through a prior technical assessment. A comprehensive evaluation of the pool helps ensure a durable repair and can significantly reduce long-term maintenance costs.

Yes. Polytech Systems specializes in the waterproofing of artificial lakes, landscape lagoons, and ornamental ponds associated with landscaping and urban development projects. We also have extensive national and international experience in aquatic facilities, recreational areas, and leisure complexes.

Systems & Materials

PVC and EPDM are different waterproofing materials used for similar applications. Both are widely used in roofing and waterproofing systems, although they differ in composition, installation methods, flexibility, and long-term performance characteristics.

Choosing the right waterproofing system depends on several factors, including the type and geometry of the structure, the condition of the substrate, and the environmental conditions to which it will be exposed throughout its service life.

The durability of a waterproofing system depends not only on the material used, but also on factors such as substrate condition, structural movement, application quality, environmental exposure, and preventive maintenance.
