DESCRIPTION
San José de Calasanz school in Valencia covers an entire block, in which all the central part was where the recreation and sport areas for the students were placed. Below this deck, there is a supermarket, in which they had a lot of leakings from the school recreational zone.
Due to its versatility and resistance we opted up for a Sikaroof Pro+ system, but finished with an alifatic coating to compose a sport pavement. This way we were offering our client a “two in one”, sports pavement and waterproofing in the same system.
After an exhaustive surface preparation which consisted in a mechanical roughing and vacuuming of all the decks that were going to be trated, we continued by preparing the extension and retraction joints to finally ending up with the waterproofing of the whole primed surface with the polyurethane sprayed membrane.
Last process was, after spraying a poliurethane adhesion promoting bonding bridge, to finish with the alifatic poliurethane coating, in both children playgrounds and sport courts. All sport courts needed to be marked according to the different official federations in which the school had teams playing official competitions.
